- Don't go somewhere you don't need to go. If you are on a mission for something in particular, don't look at anything else. If you are just shopping, stay in sections you might find something in. For example, in Forever 21, there are different sections, organized by style, if it's not your style, don't go there.
- Don't look at every single thing you pass. Skim through it all. If it doesn't catch your eye, it's not worth it.
- When you find something you like, and you think you might wear it, pick it up and try it on.
- Most likely you are going to head to the dressing rooms with tons of clothes, but be picky, don't buy things that don't fit, don't buy everything that fits, think about what you will REALLY wear. It may seem cheap, but when you buy too much, it gets expensive FAST.
- When thinking about what to buy and what not to buy ask yourself these questions:
- Would you want to wear this tomorrow?
- The day after that?
- Do you absolutely LOVE it?
- Is there somewhere you can get it for less money?
- Is it out of your price range?
- ALWAYS check garments for any tears, stains, missing parts, etc. If it is noticeable, get another one. If it isn't very noticeable, ask for a discount. Usually they will give you one, it wont be huge, but it's something.
- Finally, you should feel GOOD about what you are buying, when you leave, if you don't feel good about your purchase, it wasn't a good buy.
I hope these tips help!
