Button Down: This classic denim shirt goes well with khaki pants and boots. Wedge boots work best, boots with small heels can look too small with this outfit, wedges stand out just enough. Also, if you want to try a jean on jean look, this is a good piece to experiment with, it will go with a lot.
Crop Top: A denim crop top, a pair of floral shorts will create a great vintage look. Top it off with some oxford heels and minimal jewelry.
T-Shirt: Keep it simple with a denim t-shirt, a pair of high waist shorts and some lace up ankle boots create a simple, sophisticated, modern look for any day. This look stands out with no patterns, but if you decided to add some, it would create a nice, balanced outfit.
Classic: White denim shorts are popular right now, to stand out more wear a bright, colorful top and a pair of Sperrys. White shorts are elegant and chic, but be careful not to sit on anything that will mess them up (it is easy to do).
Cut Off: Cut off shorts are most common, to add a more unique look, choose a pair of brightly colored shorts, paired with a graphic tank, and a pair of casual shoes. For shoes, I chose some more summer appropriate Keds that are comfortable and stylish.
Cuffed: Cuffed shorts look good with a graphic tee and espadrilles. They are simple and chic and can be found in many colors and patterns.
High Waist: High waist shorts are classic and stylish, to add a modern twist, wear a cropped shirt. For this ensemble I chose some polka dotted shorts and some oxfords to go with the shirt.
Mini: To keep a mini skirt sophisticated, add a loose tank and some ankle boots for a tough, sweet look. The studs on the skirt add to this effect, if you are going for more sweet, find a skirt without studs and maybe some embroidery.
Pencil: This look can get old-lady-ish, so keep it modern with some chain necklaces and brightly colored shoes. The buttons on the skirt also add an edge, and the floral tank makes it classic and chic.
Maxi: You can do a unique boho look with a denim maxi paired with a graphic tee and some sandals.
High Waist: This is a great piece for any vintage outfit. Pair it with a crocheted tank top and some floral oxfords. You can tuck in the tank, or leave it untucked, both look great.
Fashionably,
The Fashioneur
