Day three of Austin Fashion Week was centralized at the Hill Country Galleria. Despite it's large size, the Galleria was surprisingly empty. But I decided to stick around instead of attending the Haute Volume show at Joie de Vie salon, in an attempt not to pass out from a heat stroke (my experience there on Saturday could have been a little cooler).
My outfit of the day...
Dress: H&M Bag: Tignanello
Bow: Forever 21
Sunglasses: Target
Shoes: Vintage
Earrings: DIY
Toni & Guy had a display of unique braids in their shop window. I love the understated elegance of dressed-up braids like these. Braids keep a look fun and interesting, without sacrificing the beauty of a well put together hairstyle.
This week I have been surprised by the quality of department store fashion shows. This Dillard's shoe event was well put together: all the shoe styles were organized into categories, and all the models were wearing solid black, as to not distract from the shoes, plus, there was nice selection of small snacks and drinks.
Not really sure whats going on with the legs here...but you can see two different angles of the shoe!
The Backwoods charity show had local VIPs modeling more functional attire and gear. It was a nice relief from the impracticality of the high fashion of much of Austin Fashion Week. The "models" had a little more fun with the show, too.
Another great day at Austin Fashion Week!
