50th Post

This is my 50th post on Thoughts of a Fashioneur!

50 Posts.
50 Posts.
Uncountable Thoughts.
I hope you have enjoyed my blog,
maybe you read it,
on a log,
maybe you heard about it,
in a monologue.
I am a blogger,
this is my blog,
with 50 posts,
these are the most important things to remember about fashion (and style):
From: So what is fashion anyways?

We wear things for many reasons, here are just a few,
  • We want to look cool, and we want others to think we are cool (or hip, or whatever you want call it)
  • We want to show our personality
  • We want to be comfortable
  • We are happy when we look good
  • Or, we are forced into clothing (like sweaters made by grandma, really, really frilly dresses, or huge puffy snow jackets) by our mothers
From: So what is fashion anyways? (continued)

Next time you are wondering why people look so funny in the clothes they are wearing, this is probably this answer, because it is fashion, and fashion is just weird.

From: 5 Steps to Make an Outfit
  1. Inspiration Piece (max. two inspirations)- This piece should be the theme, or focus of the outfit. Its should stand out when the outfit is finished. Ex: A black and white spotted dress.
  2. Following Piece - This piece should compliment the inspiration, but not distract from it. It especially important if the inspiration is really bright, or colorful, because the follower should tone the inspiration down. Ex: A black coat.
  3. Small Standout-This piece should bring out something in the inspiration. It needs to make a statement, but not distract from the inspiration too much. Ex: Black and white spotted earrings.
  4. Addition Pieces- These pieces are followers, they compliment, but do not distract. They must be small, and basic. Ex: Black boots, white purse.
  5. Final Touches- These pieces are followers, but can be large or small. They tie the outfit together. They are anything else needed with the outfit and they. Ex: White scarf (Note: You do not have to have final touches, if they are not needed.).
From: How Late are You?

My Levels of Lateness:
  • Elegantly Late, 2-3 min. late
  • Casually Late, 3-5 min. late
  • Just Plain Late, 5-10 min. late
  • Fashionably Late, 10-15 min. late
  • Stylishly Late, 15-20 min. late
  • After that, it just depends on the person and the place

From: How Early are You?

My levels of Earliness:

  • Elegantly Early, 2-3 min. early
  • Casually Early, 4-6 min. early
  • Stylishly Early, 7-10 min. early
  • Just Plain Early, 10-14 min. early
  • Fashionably Early, 15-19 min. early
  • Absolute Earliness, 20 min. early
  • Another One?! How early are you going to be?!
  • Very, Early, 21-25 min. early
  • Very, Very, Early, 25-30 min. early
  • Very, Very, Very, Early, 30-35 min. early
  • You get the point. Hopefully.
Maybe you have already noticed, but, its not cool to be on time anymore

    2. You must remember everything
After reading every post ever posted by me on this blog, and reading this guide (mostly the posts) you know everything (almost) there is to know about being fashionable.

From10 Things You Shouldn't Wear (If you want to be stylish)

The following things, are things that you shouldn't wear, if you want to be stylish (not fashionable).
Why stylish and not fashionable?
Stylish, means what your wearing looks good, is "in", and can be (but doesn't have to be) fashionable.
Fashionable, means art, could be in, could be stylish, and could look good.
Of course, all of these things have exceptions, but, if you are trying to play it safe, here are a few things to stay away from. However, if you are a fashion (and style) experimenter, and/or have a good sense of style, and/or know a lot about fashion, or don't care about how you look, than you can, and possibly should, try these things, if you have not already.
The list:
You shouldn't wear (unless you are a fashion (and style) experimenter, and/or-
blah blah blah, and my whole shabang):
  1. Shorts with long sleeve shirts.
  2. Hat and a headband.
  3. Pants and leg warmers.
  4. Sweatpants and flip-flops.
  5. Red and green (unless it is Christmas).
  6. Black and orange (unless it is Halloween, but really, not even if it is Halloween).
  7. Long sleeve dresses.
  8. Knee highs over pants (however, really cute, if worn correctly).
  9. Basketball shorts and a tucked in t-shirt.
  10. High heels, if you don't know how to walk in them
From: Fashion is Art, and some confusion
  • Fashion is not always style.
  • Style is not always fashion.
  • Fashion is art.
  • Style is a look.
  • Something can be both unstylish and unfashionable.
  • Something can be both stylish and fashionable.

Confusion
By: The Fashioneur

Confusion,
so confusing.
One thing,
the same,
another different,
together the same,
or different.
Everything is everything.
Anything is anything.
Nothing is nothing.
Something is something.
What is everything,
anything,
nothing,
something,
if everything is confusion.
Everything is confusion.
Anything,
confusion,
nothing,
confusion,
something,
confusion.
All confusion.

It's like the difference between fashion and style.
The difference between an inch and a mile.
The same,
a purse, a purse,
yet so different,
fashion, style.

What is in,
and out,
is in,
and out,
so fast you can't be confused,
then back,
when your done tying your shoes.
Your shoes were out,
and back in,
with the snap of a finger,
and a high lifted chin.

Fashion or style you ask?
Well,
why not both?
I say back.
Yes,
both it can be,
like an apple on a tree,
like a star in the sky,
or a swat and a fly.

Just like a blogger and a blog,
a toad on a log.

Together they can be,
or different,
you see?

Fashion is fashion.
Style is style.
I am a blogger.
This is my blog.

The most important thing about fashion, is that it can be different for everyone.

Stuff that is not expensive, and stuff that is expensive, close to the same stuff.
