So, if you are ever going to appear on any red carpet, follow these tips.
- Make sure the dress fits
- Ask someone else how a dress looks on you, someone who wont lie just to make you feel better
- Ask yourself if your dress appropriate for the red carpet, not prom, not halloween, not the beach, not a fashion show, but the red carpet
- Longer dresses are easier to pull off, don't stay away from short dresses, just be careful
- Avoid really frilly dresses, you WILL look like you are being eaten by a big flower
- Be careful if you wear a suit, you don't want to look too businesslike
- Make sure you can walk in the shoes you wear, if you want to wear shoes that will be uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time, bring another pair to wear when you are not walking/hobbling down the red carpet
- Make sure all of your accessories and makeup go with your dress
- Decide what the focus of the outfit will be, the dress, the hair, the makeup, the bag, or the shoes. Chose one, and don't distract from it. If you are going to have a statement bag, have a simpler dress. If you are going to have a statement dress, wear simple shoes. And make sure the dress isn't too much of a statement. For example:
