Fashion Week: Part 1

Right in the middle of fashion week, the fashion industry is swarming. Reporters are trying to capture the best, spot the trends, and know who has the designs that will make millions. Celebrities are filling the front rows, keeping an eye out for their next camera catching red carpet ensemble. The trendiest models are being stopped on the streets and interviewed. For those who don't need a new red carpet dress, don't care what Karlie Kloss is wearing after her latest show, don't have time to sift through every designer's show, and aren't shopping for their spring 2012 wardrobe, I'm bringing you the best, the ultimate style review for YOU.

I am loving Christian Siriano's spring 2012 collection, filled with vibrant colors that mix with creamy pinks and whites, it is the perfect mix of modern and vintage glamour. The flowing fabrics are matched with stiff geometric styles that give it an subtle edge. I would recommend looking at all the photos from this show, as they are absolutely stunning.

A few others I am keeping my eye on...

This collection took a slight turn towards western, some leather and old country florals. A few frayed edges tied together to make a collection of home meets the streets.

More color! Vintage, with a modern twist, a classic look, rewired. I am loving that palm tree print... This collection is amazing.  It is crisp and chic, but just soft enough.

DO YOU SEE WHAT I SEE?

I am seeing a lot of orange.
The problem about a poem about orange,
is that it just refuses to rhyme
the other lines may some time
but orange
just wont rhyme.

Not now, not tomorrow,
until someone creates a word to rhyme,
all the time
we will be singing the same line
there just isn't anything to rhyme
with orange.

You may try "door hinge"
but, please.
Let's not get to writing about door hinges,
which squeal and screech,
and groan and squeak.

Lets just stick to oranges,
with no words to rhyme,
just a season full of the color
of the most brilliant sunshine.

Some blue too,
classic and chic,
it makes everything
from ensembles as crisp as a phone ring,
to outfits as bold as a honey bee,
stunning just to see.

Blue birds,
blue hats,
blue cows?
Blue mats.
Blue.
It's true,
is classic,
more than any one of you.

Simplicity is the most complicated to describe,
as it is not as easy,
as the sharp lines
that outline it.

Simplicity
is the key I must say
for any day,
just keep it simple.

For what more can I say?
On this summer day,
we have a ways to go,
and keep it so.

No need to shop now,
go out and ride a cow
for the time being...

Fashionably,
The Fashioneur
