Austin Fashion Week Day 4: The Domain

The last day of Austin Fashion Week's showcase events was a suiting grand finale to the past four days.

My outfit of the day...

Top: Isda & Co. , Skirt: CottonOn, Bag: Vintage Nardini

Earrings: DIY, Necklace: Akawelle, Sunglasses: Target

Shoes: Nine West

I first visited Hatbox, a modern hat shop that carries a wide variety of hats for both men and women, made in store, locally. This event allowed me to view many of these hats and see how some of them are made.

On my way to the Neiman Marcus show I snapped a few street style pictures...

The Neiman Marcus show attracted a crowd of Austin's most fashionable, from independent bloggers such as myself, to Ross Bennet of the reality show Fashion Star.

Ross Bennet, a phenomenal local designer, who was recently on the NBC reality show Fashion Star.

And of course, the show, as always, was absolutely gorgeous. The Neiman Marcus show is one of the best events of Austin Fashion Week, it features pieces from high end designers that are well put together and in sync with the season's hottest trends.

I later visited a Wolfon Wear showing at the Metropolitan Club, and got an interview with the designer, Robert Powell. "I create from the body" said Powell. He's been designing for just over a year, but worked with costume prior to fashion design. The simplicity of many of his designs allows those who wear them to make their look unique, "I can have the same dress on four different models and have it look completely different on each one."
